Job description

About Brightway
Established in 2008, Brightway is proud to be one of the fastest-growing insurance agency systems in the United States. With over 350 franchises spanning 35+ states and an impressive $1.3 billion in annual premiums, we rank among the nation's largest privately owned property and casualty insurance distribution companies. We support our agency owners with comprehensive back-office services, marketing resources, and continuous learning and development.
We are embarking on the next stage of our customer-centric growth, driven by innovation from our talented associates and the application of cutting-edge technologies. This growth has opened doors for creative thinkers who thrive in a diverse and collaborative culture. As a Brightway team member, you'll engage in exciting projects that are reshaping the industry, working alongside a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional customer service and safeguarding our clients' most valuable assets.
Scope
The Campus Recruiter Coordinator is the company's primary point of contact for university partnerships and early-career talent engagement. This role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with campus career centers, faculty, and student organizations, and for planning and executing the events and activations that connect students to the company. While this role does not own the recruiting or selection process, it is the foundation of a strong campus presence - ensuring the right students know who we are, want to work here, and are engaged long before they apply.
Job Responsibilities:
University Relations
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for a defined portfolio of target universities, building and maintaining ongoing partnerships with career centers, faculty contacts, and key student organizations.
• Develop and steward relationships with campus champions, professors, advisors, and alumni who can help amplify the company's presence and surface strong candidates.
• Identify and evaluate new school partnerships to expand or diversify the early-career talent pipeline, bringing recommendations to HR and TA leadership.
• Maintain a school-by-school engagement calendar and relationship log; track key contacts, partnership agreements, and annual commitments.
Event Planning & Execution
• Plan, coordinate, and execute all campus recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, networking events, case competitions, sponsorships, and campus visits.
• Manage all logistics end-to-end: venue or virtual platform coordination, registration, materials, staffing, travel, and post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate and brief internal attendees - recruiters, hiring managers, and employee ambassadors - ensuring they are prepared and representing the company consistently.
• Own the campus events calendar and communicate schedules, deadlines, and logistics to internal stakeholders in advance.
• Conduct post-event debriefs and track attendance, engagement, and pipeline outcomes to inform future planning.
Employer Branding & Student Engagement
• Represent the company's culture and employee value proposition authentically at campus events and in all student-facing communications.
• Collaborate with marketing or HR on campus-specific branding materials, swag, digital content, and social media presence targeted at early-career audiences.
• Support the development and maintenance of student-facing content, including campus web pages, recruiting collateral, and job posting language.
• Identify and coordinate student ambassador programs where applicable.
Reporting & Operations
• Maintain accurate records of school partnerships, event activity, and campus engagement data.
• Track and report on key campus metrics: event attendance, pipeline contribution by school, and engagement trends.
• Manage the campus recruiting budget, including event spend, travel, and sponsorship costs; reconcile actuals and flag variances.
• Assist with other TA or HR projects as needed.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
• Strong relationship-building skills; comfortable engaging with students, faculty, career center staff, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent event planning and project management skills; able to juggle multiple events and timelines simultaneously without losing detail.
• Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable with data; able to track activity and summarize results in a structured way.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with ATS or CRM platforms a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel to campus events as needed (up to 30%, with seasonal peaks in fall and spring).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in event coordination, university relations, recruiting support, or a related HR or talent function; equivalent experience considered.
Equal Employment Opportunity:
Brightway Insurance is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that values and respects the contributions of all individuals. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
