Salary Range:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  $54,000 - $65,000
General Description:ย  Provide instruction and support to guide students through the high school Mathematics curriculum.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
Primary Responsibilities Math Teacher



  • Develop lessons related to the high school mathematics curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality instruction related to the high school mathematics curriculum
  • Provide academic support to students individually and in small groups
  • Review and grade student activities, assignments and assessments
  • Implement school curriculum in accord with district standards and requirements
  • Maintain and record weekly engagements with both in-person and virtual students
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is safe, well-ordered and conducive to student learning
  • Check student progress and understanding frequently through curriculum monitoring, group discussions/activities, and 1-1 conversations
  • Meet with students regularly to discuss their goals, needs and academic progress
  • Actively participate in subject-area Professional Learning Community
  • Follow additional directives and assignments given by the Principal

Primary Responsibilities Math Interventionist

  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in math.
  • Work with the teacher to determine the instructional needs of students most in need of improvement.
  • Administer math tests to identify the level of student achievement and diagnose areas of need.
  • Design tutoring schedule for working with students.
  • Check student progress and understanding frequently through curriculum monitoring, group discussions/activities, and 1-1 conversations.
  • Meet with students regularly to discuss their goals, needs and academic progress.
  • Maintain and submit required documentation, including, but not limited to, coaching logs and student performance data.
  • Work in a professional and cooperative manner with others to achieve duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain and record weekly engagements with both in-person and virtual students.
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is safe, well-ordered and conducive to student learning.
  • Act in accordance with the directives and assignments given by the Principal.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • MI Teaching Certificate or permit in Mathematics

  • Competence in mathematics, including algebra, geometry and trigonometry
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related area
  • Michigan teacher certification preferred
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal history check
