Position Summary

The Training Developer / Instructor I is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that support employee learning and performance. This role partners with stakeholders to assess training needs, create instructional materials, and facilitate engaging learning experiences through multiple delivery methods.

The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design capabilities with effective facilitation skills and a passion for continuous learning and development.


Key Responsibilities

Training Needs Analysis

  • Collaborate with department managers and stakeholders to identify training needs and learning objectives
  • Conduct assessments to determine skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities

Curriculum & Content Development

  • Develop comprehensive training curricula and instructional materials, including:
    • Presentations
    • Facilitator guides
    • Learner manuals
    • eLearning modules
    • Assessments and job aids
  • Create engaging, learner-focused content aligned with defined objectives
  • Apply instructional design principles to ensure clarity, effectiveness, and usability

Training Delivery

  • Facilitate training sessions through:
    • In-person classroom instruction
    • Virtual instructor-led training
    • eLearning platforms
    • On-the-job training
  • Customize content to meet the needs of various audiences and learning styles

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Develop and administer assessments to measure learner comprehension
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from participants and stakeholders

Technology & Systems Integration

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training
  • Leverage eLearning authoring tools and multimedia software
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and results

Compliance & Performance Monitoring

  • Ensure training materials comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Monitor learner performance and adjust content as needed

Resource & Project Management

  • Manage training schedules, materials, and resources
  • Communicate training updates, requirements, and schedules to participants
  • Meet deadlines while managing multiple training initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with LMS and eLearning tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching technical, soft skills, or industry-specific content
  • Familiarity with multimedia content creation tools
  • Experience working in corporate, industrial, or regulated environments
