Hospitalist Medical Director Opening in Joplin, Missouri Position Overview: - Full-Time, Permanent Position- Seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician for an exciting Hospitalist Medical Director position. - This leadership role combines clinical excellence with administrative oversight, offering the opportunity to shape program strategy while maintaining hands-on patient care.- Lead a collegial team of 20 Hospitalists (day rounders, swing shift, nocturnists)- Oversee 1 APP (with plans to add 2 more)- 75% clinical / 25% administrative responsibilities- Minimum 10 hospitalist shifts per month plus 60 hours/month administrative duties- Fully integrated Epic EMR with Dragon Ambient Experience (DAX)- Closed ICU with 24-hour intensivist coverage- All ICU rooms equipped with E-ICU virtual monitoring - All patient rooms are private- Broad specialty support and teaching opportunities available Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive hourly rate for administrative duties and shift rate for hospitalist work- $50,000 commencement bonus- $10,000 relocation assistance- $5,000 annual CME allowance- Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision- Retirement plans: 401(k) / 403(b)- Occurrence-based malpractice coverage- Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) About the Area: Joplin offers a welcoming community with a low cost of living, excellent schools, and access to outdoor recreation.
