Job description

Analyst-Data Intermediate

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Information Services leadership team in the role of Analyst-Data Intermediate.  This is a Direct Hire with a fixed hybrid-onsite schedule from the Gateway location.  This person will be onsite Tuesday through Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays. 

Scope:

  • Assesses the information capabilities of assigned areas to address gaps and provides data analysis training. 

  • Serves as a resource person to all levels of management in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing data for performance improvement initiatives.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports used by clinical and operational stakeholders.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries using SQL Server Management Studio to retrieve and transform healthcare data.

  • Perform statistical and regression analysis to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities within urgent care and virtual care data.

  • Support and enhance existing ETL processes to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting in R, with opportunities to leverage or grow into Python as the team expands its capabilities.

  • Partner with team members and internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, usable insights.

  • Reports to:  Manager of Data & Analytics

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Clinical and/or healthcare experience preferred.

  • Requires knowledge of computer applications such as MS Excel and SQL Server Management Studio.
