*All Co-Ops in the following programs can rotate between roles based off of the student's interest, skillset, and Samtec need.
IT Co-Op Role Options
Technical Support
The Technical Support Co-Op serves as a frontline technology resource for associates, providing assistance with hardware, software, and access-related issues. This position emphasizes troubleshooting, customer service, and developing a strong understanding of enterprise IT environments. The Co-Op works closely with end users to resolve issues efficiently, escalates more complex problems to specialized teams when needed, and documents solutions to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Software Development
The Software Development Co-Op is placed in a development-focused role supporting the design, development, enhancement, or maintenance of internal applications and systems. This role centers on application development practices and collaboration with technical and business teams.
Data Analytics
The Data Analytics Co-Op focuses on transforming data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. This role involves analyzing datasets, developing reports and dashboards, and working with stakeholders to understand reporting needs.

Co-Ops will start on the Technical Support team before being awarded the opportunity to be on the Network or Security teams.

Co-Ops will start on the Technical Support team before being awarded the opportunity to be on the Services or Facility Systems teams.
CS/EE
Computer Science / Electrical Engineering Co-Ops at Samtec will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and advanced areas where AI/ML, data science, infrastructure systems, and software development meet key areas of manufacturing, engineering, and R&D. Rotations in this program are based on current business needs and student expertise.
