Position Summary

The AI Training Specialist is an engaging and results-oriented individual with primary responsibility for developing and delivering training programs that accelerate employee adoption of Artificial Intelligence, automation, and productivity technologies across the organization. This role is responsible for creating impactful learning experiences that help employees understand, adopt, and effectively apply emerging technologies in their daily work. 

The AI Training Specialist will partner with business leaders, operational teams, and technology stakeholders to identify skill gaps, develop targeted learning programs, and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business applications that improve employee productivity, operational efficiency, and organizational readiness.

Success will be based on increased employee adoption and utilization of approved AI and productivity tools, percentage of employees completing AI training and certification programs, and demonstrated business outcomes attributable to AI training and enablement efforts.

The ideal candidate will live in the Kansas City area and be open to a hybrid schedule. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Training Program Development

• Design, develop, and maintain AI, automation, and technology training curricula for employees across multiple business functions.

• Create structured learning paths for various skill levels, from introductory to advanced users.

• Ensure training materials remain current as technologies, business processes, and organizational priorities evolve.

• Maintain a centralized repository of training resources and documentation.

Training Delivery

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, workshop-based, and self-paced learning experiences.

• Facilitate engaging training sessions that encourage participation and practical application.

• Adapt training methods to accommodate varying learning styles and levels of technical proficiency.

AI Adoption & Coaching

• Support enterprise AI adoption initiatives through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and office hours.

• Assist employees in identifying practical use cases for AI tools within their roles.

• Promote best practices for responsible, effective, and secure use of AI technologies.

Adoption Analytics & Reporting

• Measure and report on AI adoption, training effectiveness, engagement metrics, and business outcomes.

• Partner with leadership to establish success metrics and improvement targets for AI enablement programs.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Training & Facilitation: Excellent presentation, facilitation, and classroom management skills for virtual or in-person audiences.

• AI & Technology Awareness: Familiarity with AI technologies, automation platforms, productivity tools, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Microsoft 365 Copilot Expertise: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Agents, Copilot Studio, and related Microsoft productivity technologies.

• Business Translation: Ability to convert technical concepts into practical business applications that employees can easily understand and implement.

• Learning Analytics: Ability to measure training effectiveness, learner engagement, adoption rates, and business impact through data analysis and reporting.

• AI Governance Awareness: Understanding of responsible AI practices, security considerations, and organizational governance requirements related to AI usage.

• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Transportation Industry Knowledge: Transportation, logistics, supply chain, or Transportation Management Software experience preferred.

Minimum Education and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in corporate training, learning, development, enablement, or related fields.

• Experience designing and delivering technology, productivity, or digital transformation training programs.

• Transportation, logistics, supply chain, or Transportation Management System (TMS) experience preferred.

The employee must use problem-solving skills to formulate and apply appropriate courses of action for routine or familiar situations. The employee may be required to perform numerical operations including basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing or more complex quantitative calculations.

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heat and air-conditioned office building or in their home office environment. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.
