About the Opportunity

Ellucian's Solutions Consulting organization is seeking a Solutions Consultant with experience or exposure to Ellucian Banner Finance and an interest in developing expertise across the end-to-end student lifecycle. This role operates within a capability-based presales model, where Solutions Consultants partner closely with other Solutions Consultants, Strategic Business Advisors, and Professional Services to support confident, delivery-aligned presales engagement.

In this role, you will build foundational expertise in Ellucian Student and related capabilities, supporting discovery conversations and demonstrations while learning how to align customer needs with realistic delivery outcomes. You will contribute to opportunities from early discovery through transition to implementation, gaining experience in disciplined scoping, value articulation, and solution positioning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow functional and presales expertise while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, team-based model.

Where You Will Make an Impact

  • Support Ellucian Student discovery conversations by helping gather institutional goals, challenges, and current-state processes.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering virtual and on-site capability demonstrations aligned to customer priorities and sales strategy.
  • Contribute to solution alignment by identifying how standard product capabilities support institutional needs.
  • Partner with other Solutions Consultants and cross-functional teams to ensure continuity from presales into implementation.
  • Build knowledge of higher education workflows across the student lifecycle, including Admissions, Registration, Academic Records, Student Accounts, Finance, and/or  HCM and Payroll.
  • Support competitive and strategic pursuits through research, preparation, and follow-up activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, enablement sessions, and internal training to continuously grow product, industry, and solution knowledge.
  • Represent Ellucian professionally in customer interactions and occasionally at regional events or user groups.

What You Will Bring

  • 4-6+ years of experience in higher education administration, functional support, consulting, or a related field.
  • Exposure to Banner Finance required; familiarity with Banner Student is a plus.
  • Foundational understanding of higher education business processes within Student or Academic Services.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain functional concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Interest in developing presales consulting skills, including discovery, demonstration, and solution positioning.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with guidance.
