Job description

About the Role

Videographer

At Blue Marble, we believe in the power of play to spark curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. We design and deliver innovative toys and experiences that inspire kids (and kids at heart) around the world.

Weโ€™re looking for a Videographer whoโ€™s equal parts creative thinker and doer, someone excited to roll up their sleeves and help bring ideas to life. In this role, youโ€™ll play a key part in shaping products, experiences, and/or operations that delight our customers and grow our brands.

If you love fast-paced environments, creative collaboration, and making an impact you can actually see on shelves (and in kidsโ€™ hands), youโ€™ll fit right in.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create promotional videos for Blue Marble products from concept through final delivery.
  • Translate scripts into clear, engaging storyboards and shot lists.
  • Plan, shoot, and edit product-focused video content for use across digital, social, retail, ecommerce, and marketing channels.
  • Capture high-quality video footage using proper lighting, composition, camera movement, and audio considerations.
  • Edit video content into polished final deliverables that align with brand standards, project goals, and marketing objectives.
  • Add visual effects, motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and other post-production elements as needed.
  • Coordinate and work effectively with on-camera talent, including children, helping create a positive, organized, and comfortable on-set environment that supports strong performances.
  • Collaborate with voice talent to coordinate recordings and incorporate voiceover into final video edits.
  • Work closely with another videographer to maintain efficient workflows, shared file structures, and organized project archives.
  • Manage video files, footage, project assets, exports, and backups with accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Copywriters, Designers, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure video content supports product positioning and brand messaging.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms, pre-production meetings, and project reviews.
  • Accept direction and constructive feedback, refining video concepts and edits to meet project goals.
  • Assist with on-set production needs, including product preparation, prop setup, lighting, camera operation, and talent direction.
  • Maintain awareness of current video trends, platform best practices, and production techniques.
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting weekly deadlines.
  • Support additional creative production needs as assigned, including basic photo editing or product image adjustments when applicable.

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 3โ€“5+ years of experience in videography, video production, video editing, or a related creative production role.
  • A portfolio or reel that demonstrates strong product video work, storytelling, editing, lighting, composition, and post-production skills.
  • Experience taking a project from script to storyboard, production, edit, and final delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio capture, and video production workflows.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience with visual effects, motion graphics, titles, transitions, and other post-production enhancements.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining shared file structures, project folders, footage archives, and final deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative partners, voice talent, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Familiarity with digital, social, ecommerce, and promotional video best practices.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and photo editing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management or task management tools is preferred

Where Youโ€™ll Work

  • Location: Onsite in Ashland, Oregon
  • Work Style: Collaborative, hands-on, and fast-paced

Why Youโ€™ll Love It Here

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life)
  • 401(k) to help you plan for the future
  • Flexible paid time offโ€”we trust you to recharge when you need it
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • A creative, collaborative, and yesโ€”playful culture
  • The chance to help shape iconic and emerging toy brands
  • Real opportunities to develop within a dynamic, high-growth organization.
