Summary:
As an Apprentice for Alumni Engagement within the Division of Development & Community Prosperity (DCP), individuals in this role will support DCP's efforts to engage alumni, donors, and community partners to propel the University and the St. Louis communities forward in alignment with the University's Saints Plan. Students in this position will gain valuable experience in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and content creation while contributing to the University's overall development and community-focused initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic, supportive team environment, making a tangible impact on the University and the surrounding community.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Writing press releases, stories, and other forms of professional written communication, as well as creating digital content
  • Managing DCP's social media accounts and creating engaging content
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement initiatives by partnering with various audiences
  • Designing and implementing creative materials, including photography, videography, and graphic design
  • Using analytics tools to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies
  • Assisting with DCP events and programs for various stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a variety of audiences and/or a major brand
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed
