Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Podcast Production Manager to join our Area of Multimedia team located at the Multimedia working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
This position ensures all functions of podcast productions are accomplished in a timely manner and fulfilled professionally and effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as lead on all podcast projects from ideation to development and distribution
  • Responsible for all podcast contracts, subscriptions, accounts, requisitions and payments
  • Responsible for selecting audio and technical equipment to be used within the budget parameters
  • Collaborate and provide managerial oversight of content generated by multiple podcast team members from multiple departments
  • Collaborates with creative staff on video shoots to select proper camera angles, lighting, audio and production elements
  • Responsible for creative development of podcast content and production elements
  • Projects an image of professionalism and conducts all business efficiently and expediently
  • Responsible for contacting, scheduling and training hosts, guests and talent
  • Ensures all production team members are informed, updated and kept on a production schedule
  • Oversees and manages creative vendors and contractors
  • Oversees and coordinates production elements such as planning, scripting, scheduling, recording, editing, distribution and promotions
  • Pre-screens, conducts research and selects guest hosts, guests and talent who properly reflect the goals and values of the Chickasaw Nation
  • Responsible for setting and meeting distribution and podcast launch deadlines
  • Conducts and records all interviews as needed
  • Oversees the editing, formatting, packaging and publishing of podcast audio and video production elements
  • Assists with operations and production elements as needed during studio recordings
  • Develops, creates and enhances entertaining and compelling podcast content
  • Oversees the maintenance, use, distribution and storage of all podcast and audio equipment
  • Works hand-in-hand with the editors to select proper subject matter and recordings related to the script and predetermined episode outcomes
  • Works with creative teams to develop concepts and strategy for target audience
  • Challenges team members to generate engaging ideas and exceptional work
  • Attends Chickasaw Nation events, locations and venues as needed to gather content and information for podcast productions
  • Monitors areas within the Chickasaw Nation for news, programs, events, activities, etc. for opportunities to distribute information to the public
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with citizens, colleagues and guests who contribute to podcast productions and communications projects
  • Must develop a working knowledge of all tribal divisions and programs
  • Creates initiatives and assets designed to drive relevant, targeted traffic to Chickasaw Nation platforms
  • Generates proposals for updates, trends and enhancements for podcast productions
  • Looks for opportunities to promote the Podcast on our many platforms and in turn, looks for ways to cross promote ongoing initiatives on the Podcast
  • Ensures that the website and podcast information are up to date at all times
  • Practices great customer services skills when working with citizens/clients
  • Maintains a working knowledge of production equipment and software programs
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
