Position Overview

The Anchor/Reporter will anchor daily live newscasts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong command of news writing and journalism standards, the ability to ad-lib effectively during breaking news situations, and the capacity to collaborate seamlessly with writers and producers.


Compensation

๏ปฟ$65,000 โ€“ 100,000 dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, accurate, fact-based, and unbiased television news scripts in proper broadcast style
  • Maintain a thorough and current understanding of national and international events
  • Collaborate effectively with producers, writers, and production staff
  • Perform confidently on air, including during live and breaking news coverage

Training on ENPS is provided. Part-time shifts are available.

Qualifications

  • Excellent command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and broadcast writing style
  • Willingness and availability to work weekends and overnight shifts
  • Preferred: Bachelorโ€™s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Preferred: Prior experience writing television news scripts
  • Preferred: Experience writing scripts in ENPS
