Directs manufacturing and verifies system and process compliance

Drive Process improvement and cost reduction activities

Support problem prevention & detection by driving process compliance

Developing strong supplier & customer relationships

Trains, mentors and develops plant employees in preparation for career advancement opportunities

Measures of Performance:

Report and ensure accuracy of key operational metrics (asset utilization, inventory accuracy, on time, scrap, etc...)

Job Description:

•Develops, implements and drives compliance to preventive and predictive maintenance systems and processes

•Manages labor costs to budget/business plan including OT.

•Responsible for ensuring compliance to processes and systems necessary to avoid premium freight.

•Leads 5S and Visual management activities on the plant floor and ensures compliance once implemented

•Drives continuous improvement in cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

•Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance to plant floor processes, procedures and systems implemented(Ex. 5S, Poka Yoke, SMED, etc...)

• Supports manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.

•Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and practices on the plant floor

•Builds, develops and manages production team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving employee relations.

•Supports problem resolution activities to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.

•Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.

•Identifies, assigns and complies with training requirements in production.

•Documents and leads monthly plant reviews to include cost, quality, production and safety

•Responsible for monthly manpower planning to include productivity calculator, OT tracking, total man hours worked, identifying employees by position, etc...

•Actively participates in the Layered Audit program and participates in quality standards audits as required

•Guides participation in scheduled Kaizen events

•Train personnel on cycle count process and ensure cycle count schedule is followed.
