We help students explore careers, develop skills, and connect with employers through technology, virtual reality, and strategic partnerships. Our internship program provides hands-on experience in multiple facets of our work, allowing interns to gain valuable insights into workforce development, emerging technology, and employer engagement.

OverviewAs an Emerge Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to real projects that impact students, schools, and employers across Michigan and beyond. 

Responsibilities

1. EmergeXR Support

  • Assist with EmergeXR visits, including setup and facilitation of virtual reality experiences for schools and community partners.
  • Support data collection and feedback from participants to enhance VR experience.

2. Virtual Intern Experience – Content Creation & Event Management

  •  Help plan and coordinate content for the Virtual Intern Experience, including brainstorming topics, scripting, and assisting in video production.
  • Organize and support in-person events, ensuring smooth execution and engagement from interns and partner organizations.

3. Employer Outreach & Support for Employer Collaboratives

  • Research and reach out to employers to support employer collaboratives, fostering partnerships that create career opportunities for students.
  • Help develop resources and presentations to engage employers in talent pipeline initiatives.

4. EmergeNET Data Entry & Management

  • Assist with data input and management within EmergeNET, ensuring student, employer, and educational institution profiles are updated and organized.
  • Track engagement metrics and provide insights to improve the platform’s effectiveness.

· Availability to occasionally work non-traditional business hours including nights and weekends
