Job purpose

At our Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI, we are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a: Global Human Resources Communication Intern.

This position is crucial for the implementation of our global HR Communication strategy and will support employee engagement at our BorgWarner locations around the world.

Key responsibilities

  • Creation of internal communication content like articles, videos, and social media posts

  • Conception of new communication initiatives to increase employee engagement

  • Working with and support of global and local teams on the implementation of internal communications on programs around new company strategic initiatives

  • Implementing communication around corporate social responsibility initiatives

  • Supporting the roll-out of all functional relevant content

  • Using internal company social networks like Social Chorus, and Sharepoint to bring initiatives to live

  • Supporting special topics like company events, marketing of specific hiring initiatives, and employer branding initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Undergraduate/Graduate student attending an accredited university with an emphasis in Human Resources and/or Communications / Marketing

  • Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, vocational/trade school.
  • Ability to report onsite at least three days to our Auburn Hills Campus
  • Experience in graphic design, media creation, and publishing with a good eye for modern design messaging

  • Experience in video editing, publishing a plus

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong writing skills

  • Project management skills

  • Experience working in media, communications a strong plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Experience in SharePoint, Social Chorus a plus

  • Fluent in English, oral and written

  • Highly motivated, dynamic, and well organized, creative, and open to new ideas

  • Ability to work independently.
