Definiti is a national retirement services company that helps clients manage and administer their retirement plans. We help clients define what's possible and what's next for their retirement plans.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for wholesaling Definiti retirement plan services in assigned territory. ย Create new financial advisor relationships that will ultimately sell Definiti retirement solutions - including traditional Defined Contribution/Defined Benefit administration TPA services (including Cash Balance as well as Actuarial), 3(16) services, pension outsourcing, and full-scope retirement consulting. These solutions will be sold through all financial intermediaries that reside in assigned territory - across all plan size markets. ย The ideal candidate for this opportunity will reside in the assigned territory.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wholesale Definiti retirement solutions in assigned region
  • Develop new financial advisor relationships that will generate proposals and sales in assigned region
  • Obtain sales goal in assigned territory by prospecting new clients
  • Maintain a network of advisors, consultants, platform wholesalers, DCIO partners, and other retirement service-focused professionals
  • Foster plan sponsor relationships through direct meetings with key contacts and partners
  • Manage travel, entertainment, and distribution partnership budgets where necessary
  • Manage a territory of targeted relationships
  • Maintain appropriate data to analyze challenges, success, and opportunities
  • Partner with leadership to create and implement strategies for accelerated growth

Requirements

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Territory Management: Strategically plan and prioritize accounts, allocate time effectively, and ensure consistent coverage across the territory
  • Pipeline Building: Generate leads through prospecting, networking, and leveraging marketing support to create a strong and sustainable sales funnel
  • Relationship Building: Develop intermediary relationships, such as Financial Advisors, Benefit Brokers, CPAs, etc.ย 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and time management skills

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Five years of proven sales experience with minimum two to three years in the retirement or financial services space.
  • Ability to manage a region with established advisor connections in that region. ย ย 
  • Solid working knowledge of retirement plan services preferred
  • ย Travel required within territory; approximately 50% or as needed

REMOTE WORKING REQUIREMENTS

  • Designate a quiet, and well-lit space free of as many distractions as possible
  • Be online and available to work during designated business hours in local time zone
  • Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications. We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
  • Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
