Worldwide Operations Security is seeking a pioneer to help build a world-class video analytics and security infrastructure for our fulfillment teams across the globe.


We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer to develop video analytics functionality and create innovative video security solutions built upon leading AI engines such as Amazon Bedrock and Rekognition. You will be responsible for designing and building systems to deploy, maintain, and extend our internal video capabilities globally. This position will include the development and implementation of internally written software for highly specialized analytics systems, application deployment, and support.

You will use AWS products and DevOps patterns to build this next generation of video tools.
The candidate we're seeking is a motivated builder who drives innovation and will deliver results to our customers. This is a hands-on position where your daily activities will range from strategic planning to new system development to supporting the customers that depend on your services. You will deliver consistent, well-defined results in an agile development workflow

Key job responsibilities
- Create and maintain cloud-based video analytics solutions for use by internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain cloud-based automation applications for the deployment and configuration of 1P and 3P video solutions
- Continuously strive for operational excellence by seeking to provide cost-effective and highly available solutions.
- Participate in original creation and implementation of scalable infrastructure automation tools that allow Amazon to get the most out of our global Operations video security infrastructure.
- Ensure that all products are designed to be secure, robust, scalable, maintainable and adaptable as the services scale and evolve over time.
- Build instrumentation to provide visibility into the health of your products, along with alerting and self-healing capabilities.
- Uphold a high standard of code quality and engineering excellence.
A day in the life
Our team develops analytics and automation tools using AWS services and internal AI platforms to provide video solutions to our internal security and safety teams

We use Agile Scrum to track our project work, conducting biweekly sprint planning meetings and 3 standup meetings a week to coordinate efforts. We work closely with our internal stakeholders in the Loss Prevention, Operations, and Safety organizations. Typical project work includes creating new solutions based on customer requirements for expanding video system capabilities.

Typical operations work includes providing escalation support for anything that the front-line support team requires assistance with.
