In addition to guards working for civilian and military clients, OCONUS security jobs include surveillance technicians and security consultants.

What are some common challenges faced by OCONUS Security professionals, and how can they prepare for them?

OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) Security professionals often encounter unique challenges such as adapting to different cultural norms, navigating complex local regulations, and managing security risks in unfamiliar or high-threat environments. They may also face logistical difficulties, including language barriers and limited access to resources. To prepare, candidates should focus on developing cultural awareness, flexibility, and strong communication skills, as well as staying up-to-date on regional security protocols. Pre-deployment training and ongoing professional development are essential for success in these demanding roles.
