Job description

Architect - OCONUS Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Exp Federal is an established full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally. The Challenge: Exp Federal is accepting applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Department of State. This position will be onsite in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Principle Areas of Responsibility : * Ensuring that the contractor is performing the required contract work in accordance with the design documents
* Monitor construction and ensure construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed appropriately
* Ensure quality assurance tasks such as observing contractor's work is properly inspected, materials meet contract, reviewing contractor submittals * Performing technical inspections of the architectural elements of the project
* Understanding and interpret drawings and the principals and how it fits in with other disciplines
* Reviewing shop drawings and monitor on-going construction work to identify problems or non-compliance with design or contract specifications
* Preparing construction reports detailing construction progress and identifies any problem with the construction process related to the incumbent's area of expertise. * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications * Bachelors in Architecture from an accredited American university
* 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
* Must be able to obtain an Interim TS or Final TS security clearance before deployment Salary Range: This position has an annual range of $115,000.00 to $155,000.00 . The actual salary is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
