Security Officer
An ESS substitute crossing guard assists students with safe passage at designated cross streets and other duties as assigned by the building principal.
Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Monitoring: Patrol school buildings, grounds, and parking lots to detect and deter criminal activity, vandalism, and other policy violations.
  • Access Control: Monitor and control access to the campus, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the premises.
  • Incident Response: Respond efficiently to disturbances, security breaches, and emergencies, including escalating misconduct or inappropriate student behavior to a School District Employee.
  • Reporting: Document all incidents and activities by completing detailed and accurate reports in accordance with department procedures.
  • Visitor Assistance: Provide directions to visitors and ensure they are aware of and follow campus security regulations.
