Assistant Coach - Pro Women's Volleyball
Position Summary
The Assistant Coach collaborates with the coaching staff to support the Head Coach in all aspects of team development, training, match preparation, player performance, and daily operations. This position plays a key role in fostering a high-performance environment that prioritizes competitive excellence, athlete development, and professionalism.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development

  • Assist in planning and conducting team practices and training sessions
  • Provide technical and tactical instruction to athletes in individual, small-group, and team settings
  • Support the development of position-specific training plans and skill progression

Scouting & Video Analysis
  • Prepare opponent scouting reports and match analysis
  • Analyze team and player performance using video and statistical software
  • Assist with breakdown of training and competition film to support athlete development and game planning
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to implement scouting and tactical strategies

Recruitment & Talent Evaluation
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting domestic and international talent.
  • Support roster-building efforts through scouting, recruiting, and player evaluation

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Assist with camps, clinics, community events, and organizational initiatives

Necessary Qualifications
  • Minimum of two professional references
  • Strong proficiency in VolleyStation, VolleyStation Pro, VolleyStation Online, and VolleyMetrics, including custom spreadsheet and analytical workflow creation.
  • Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, national team, or professional level
  • Experience with video analysis and scouting
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively during the season
  • Ability to actively participate in on-court training activities, including live demonstrations and drill facilitation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performance coaching staff while maintaining professionalism, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Excel, R, Python, AI tools, or other analytical platforms into performance analysis and decision-making
  • Ability to actively contribute to high-level on-court training through serving, attacking, blocking, or participation in live 6v6 scenarios.
  • Knowledge of international / professional players and teams
  • Connections either within the NCAA or internationally
  • Bachelor's degree
