This position is based in Juneau, Alaska


Our client is seeking a Vice President, Business Operations & Strategy to lead Food & Nutrition Services and Environmental Services across a rapidly growing healthcare system in Southeast Alaska.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, hands-on leader to oversee multi-site operations spanning hospitals, clinics, housing, transportation, and remote healthcare facilities. With operations having tripled in size over the past three years, the organization is looking for an executive who can drive operational excellence, financial performance, and continued growth.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Operational Excellence – Oversee multi-site operations, ensuring consistent service delivery, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and accountability across hospitals, clinics, housing, transportation, and remote locations.
  • Financial Stewardship – Lead budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, vendor management, and financial optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support organizational objectives.
  • People Leadership – Coach and develop leaders across multiple locations while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Innovation & Service Enhancement – Drive modernization initiatives, leverage emerging technologies, and implement innovative solutions that enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness across geographically dispersed operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, support services, hospitality services, facilities management, or a similarly complex multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-unit or multi-site operations.
  • Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, capital planning, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead through growth, change, and operational complexity.
  • Experience managing large teams across multiple locations.
