We're seeking a future team member for the role of Business Analyst to join our Regulatory Reporting  team. This role is located in New York.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: 

              Business Technology Liaison - Analyze, defines and prioritizes business requirements and functional or operational specifications for moderate to large projects of increasing complexity.

              Provides consultation to all areas of IT and business management for the application of Regulatory reporting to support business opportunities and planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.

              Participates in and provides guidance on development of functional requirements and user documentation and testing.

              Uses broad knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology.

              Discusses and negotiates technical requirements and multi-departmental solutions, designs and implements innovative efficient auditable processes, and documents results for all levels of management. Identifies and communicates meaningful issues to management as part of the reporting process and suggests options to address and remediate.

              Coordination with cross functional team, stakeholders, and technology team. 

              Works with senior management to ensure that the appropriate external reporting policies, methods, standards, processes, reporting and training are developed, applied and understood by impacted stakeholders.

              Extensive knowledge of regulatory reporting processes and knowledge of compliance in regulatory bodies. Recognized throughout the organization as the external reporting point of contact for a particular business/business partner area. 

              Leverages the most complex regulatory reporting techniques to achieve business objectives. Manage all activities related to the development and production of external reporting. Plans and implements policies, procedures and reporting activities across multiple businesses and locations. 

              SDLC experience in most Agile frameworks like SCRUM, SAFE, Scaled Agile 

              Ability to run scrum calls, ensure Jira framework in place and Jira updates are up to date.

              Effective management and utilization of enterprise resources

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 

              Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

              8 to 10 years of experience of performing as a senior business analyst/ technical data analyst role on large regulatory or business change programs within global financial institutions

              Experience in the Finance domain and Regulatory reporting processes like Capital, CCAR, Statistical reporting.

              Experience financial industry data structure and usability.

              Experience with SQLs, Python/Bigdata technologies

              Experience as a Product owner is a plus. 

              Knowledge Nasdaq Axiom configuration is desirable

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
