Our Equity Capital Markets team plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic financing solutions to corporate clients worldwide, facilitating their access to public equity markets.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Vice President to join our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Origination team in New York. The VP will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing a wide range of equity and equity-linked transactions. This is a client-facing role that requires strong market knowledge, sophisticated analytical skills, and a proven ability to build relationships with corporate clients and internal coverage teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Origination and Client Coverage:

    • Work directly with Industry Coverage and M&A teams to identify and originate equity-related mandates (e.g., IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, Convertible Bonds, Equity Derivatives).

    • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients at the CFO and Treasury level, serving as a trusted advisor on capital markets strategy.

    • Prepare and present pitch materials, market updates, and transaction proposals to senior management and Boards of Directors.

  • Transaction Execution:

    • Oversee the full execution cycle for ECM transactions, including due diligence, drafting registration statements, interacting with legal counsel, and managing regulatory filings.

    • Manage the syndicate process, coordinate with the Sales, Trading, and Research divisions, and drive deal marketing efforts.

    • Lead junior deal team members (Associates and Analysts) in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis.

  • Market Expertise:

    • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of global equity markets, investor sentiment, regulatory changes (SEC, FINRA), and competitor activity.

    • Advise clients on transaction structures, market windows, pricing, and allocation strategies to optimize execution outcomes.

    • Conduct in-depth research on target sectors and companies to identify potential opportunities.

Required Experience

  • 4-7 years of experience within Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Investment Banking, or a closely related field. Prior experience as an Associate in an ECM or M&A group is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in a role focused on origination and client interaction is essential.

  • Demonstrated track record of successful involvement in the structuring and execution of various ECM products (IPOs, Follow-ons, Convertibles).

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical and financial modeling skills, including valuation techniques and capital structure analysis.

  • Series 79 and Series 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain them immediately upon joining).

  • Expert proficiency in financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Excel).
