We operate at a fast pace, translating sophisticated financial concepts into compelling, modern, and accessible narratives across digital, social, and multimedia platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
PWM Marketing is looking for a strategic and highly creative Vice President, Advertising Copywriter to lead within our internal Creative Services team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and own the verbal identity of a premier wealth management brand while mentoring and guiding creative talent.
As a Vice President, Advertising Copywriter, you will set the creative vision and lead the development of high-impact, short-form copy across key digital channels-including streaming video, digital display, audio, and social media-to engage our target audiences and elevate our market presence. You will serve as a senior partner to designers, multimedia producers, marketing strategists, senior stakeholders, and compliance partners to drive creative campaigns from strategy through execution.
Responsibilities include:
  • Creative Leadership & Strategy: Set the creative direction and verbal identity for multi-channel campaigns, aligning copywriting strategy with broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of copywriters and junior creative talent, providing constructive feedback, fostering growth, and elevating the overall quality of creative output.
  • Campaign Copywriting: Write and oversee compelling, high-impact, short-form copy for streaming video scripts, digital display ads, audio scripts, and social media platforms, setting the standard for excellence.
  • Simplifying Complex Concepts: Translate sophisticated financial, market, and wealth planning concepts into engaging, bite-sized, and client-centric narratives, and coach the team to do the same.
  • Brand Stewardship: Own and evolve the application of the Goldman Sachs brand guidelines, ensuring a consistent tone, voice, and messaging architecture across all creative deliverables and teams.
  • Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with senior leaders, designers, video producers, and marketing managers to shape integrated, multi-channel creative campaigns and present creative concepts to executive stakeholders.
  • Program & Project Management: Oversee multiple creative workstreams simultaneously, establishing efficient processes and navigating project management systems to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Review & Compliance: Lead the resolution of feedback across editorial, subject matter, and regulatory compliance reviews, balancing regulatory rigor with creative integrity.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications:
  • Professional Copywriting Experience: Extensive advertising copywriting experience (typically 8-12+ years) with a strong portfolio showcasing short-form digital display, social media, streaming video, and audio campaigns, including demonstrated leadership on high-visibility creative initiatives.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing creative teams, with the ability to inspire and elevate the work of others.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into creative strategy and drive measurable brand impact.
  • Exceptional Writing & Editing: Outstanding short-form writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills, with a sharp eye for detail and a high bar for quality.
  • Program Management & Agility: Strong organizational and program-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines across multiple projects and pivot quickly as needs evolve.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across matrixed teams.
  • Industry Awareness: A passion for creative trends in digital advertising, social media platforms, and emerging multimedia formats, with the vision to anticipate what's next.
  • Regulatory Comfort: Experience writing and leading creative within a compliance-driven or highly regulated environment (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or legal) is highly preferred.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree (preferably in Communications, Advertising, English, Journalism, or a related field).

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
