Maintenance Manager:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings, plant equipment and site services to ensure optimum performance and a safe working environment meeting current legislative requirements and Vesuvius' Health and Safety Policies. Manages the rebuilding and repair of a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
  1. Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.
  2. Write, read and lead assigned CAPEX projects.
  3. Controlling the resources, financial aspects and the projects.
  4. Cascading and demonstrating company values, group policies and procedures.
  5. Identifying and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy.
  6. Ensuring that all Safety, Quality and other applicable Vesuvius standards are strictly implemented and followed by all department workers and sub-contractors.
  7. Standardizing the work methods in the form of Procedures and Standardized Work Instructions.
  8. Ensuring that all maintenance processes are consistent with industry regulations, OSHA standards and Vesuvius Group policies.
  9. Creating and executing the preventive maintenance plan for building, installations and equipment.
  10. Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  11. Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
  12. Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
  13. Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
  14. Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
  15. Management of budgets and approval of expenses.
  16. Ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment.
  17. Overseeing equipment safety stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
  18. Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation of spare parts inventory.
  19. Hiring and management of subcontractors and other vendors for specialized maintenance work.
  20. Implementation and management of maintenance KPIs (MTBF, Preventive Maintenance plan execution, OEE ratio), financial KPIs (Adherence to budget, cost reduction programs).
  21. Implementing and maintaining 5S program in the subordinate area.
  22. Handling emergencies.
  23. Creating troubleshooting guidelines.
  24. Acting as a change agent to instill a Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement culture with a focus on building strong and positive working relationships.
  25. Looking for new ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  26. Management of technical documentation of buildings, installations and equipment (drawings, specifications, registers) according with the Quality Management System standard.
  27. Managing and processing maintenance SCAR's (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).
  28. Overseeing recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure optimum quality and level of resource for the projected workloads, schedule and projects.
  29. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
BS degree in technical field or qualified by experience within the relevant sector.
5+ years of relevant experience combined with team leadership / management experience.
CMMS knowledge required
Knowledge of the equipment in use, understanding maintenance processes and techniques, the principles of asset management, best practices on the shop floor and risk management, among others.
