Adecco is currently supporting upcoming opportunities for Associate Operations Manager (Venue Operations) roles in a professional event and venue environment in New York City. We are seeking individuals who are experienced in facility operations, event readiness, and on-site coordination, and who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-venue environment where priorities shift based on daily operational and event needs.
Pay: Up to $30.00hr
This role is well-suited for candidates who can balance hands-on facility oversight with coordination responsibilities across operations teams, vendors, and event stakeholders.
ScheduleCandidates must be available to support operations across standard business hours with flexibility based on venue and event activity, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend coverage as required.
Typical operational coverage includes:
7:00 AM โ 3:00 PM
9:00 AM โ 5:00 PM
10:00 AM โ 6:00 PM
Schedules may vary depending on rental activity, load-ins/outs, and operational demands.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain daily operational readiness across assigned venues and ensure all spaces remain in โevent-readyโ condition at all times.
Conduct weekly operational check-ins and morning coordination meetings with porter and operations teams
Oversee daily venue readiness across multiple sites (including Center415, Annex417, and additional venues as needed)
Maintain and update Open Logs across Google Sheets and Slack in real time
Coordinate and track operational receipts, invoices, and vendor documentation with Operations Management
Manage inventory across venues and ensure supply levels support upcoming events
Oversee routine inspection and maintenance of operational infrastructure including:
Electrical systems and lighting functionality
HVAC systems and maintenance coordination
Doors, locks, and emergency exits
Fire extinguishers and exit signage compliance
Elevators and freight access systems (when applicable)
Scissor lifts and related equipment readiness
Maintain organization of all operational and storage areas including supply closets, HVAC rooms, electrical rooms, kitchens, and freight corridors
Ensure compliance with safety standards and venue SOPs at all times
Coordinate pest control schedules, maintenance requests, and vendor services
Support event execution through:
Pre-event walkthroughs and readiness checks
Load-in and load-out coordination and documentation
Hourly venue walkthroughs during active events
Client-facing operational support and expectation management
Coordinate with Venue Managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution
Support DOB / FDNY walkthroughs and compliance requirements as needed
Oversee trash management scheduling, pickup coordination, and curbside logistics
QualificationsPrior experience in facilities operations, venue management, event operations, hospitality operations, or similar environment required or strongly preferred
Experience working in large-scale venues, commercial buildings, or multi-site operations is highly desirable
Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Comfortable working in both hands-on and supervisory/coordination capacities
Ability to conduct physical operational tasks as needed (walking venues, inspecting infrastructure, assisting with setup support)
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams, vendors, and clients
Familiarity with operational tools such as Google Sheets, Slack, and basic documentation systems preferred
Availability to support flexible scheduling including early mornings, evenings, and event-driven shifts

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
