Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager. The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet.

Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives

Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00am to 8:00pm

What the Fleet Manager role looks like:

  • Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented
  • Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control

    • Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience
    • Strong technical/mechanical background (hands-on experience preferred)
    • Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders
    • Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems
    • Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
