About the role

Join Cognizant as a Senior Developer specializing in Veeva CRM MyInsights, where you will design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, and embedded mini web apps that deliver real-time, actionable insights to field sales, medical, and commercial teams directly within Veeva CRM. In this role you will combine front-end web development expertise with a deep understanding of the Veeva CRM data model and commercial life sciences business processes to help our clients turn data into decisions.

In this role you will
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom MyInsights dashboards, X-Pages, and content using HTML5, JavaScript, and the Veeva JavaScript library, leveraging real-time CRM data to build interactive experiences embedded in Veeva CRM.
  • Build and optimize dashboards that surface KPIs relevant to field teams, such as HCP call frequency, account plans, order approvals, and sales performance, using both MyInsights Studio configuration and custom code for advanced use cases.
  • Integrate third-party and external data sources into MyInsights via REST APIs, connecting Veeva CRM to internal systems and external platforms, and ensure content performs reliably both online and offline for reps in the field.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across sales ops, brand teams, and medical affairs to gather requirements and translate them into technical dashboard specifications, then troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize disruption to field operations.
  • Mentor junior developers, establish coding standards and reusable components, and manage the packaging and deployment of MyInsights content into Veeva CRM orgs alongside CRM administrators.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 to 8 or more years of software development experience, including hands-on experience building Veeva CRM MyInsights content and dashboards.
  • Strong front-end development skills across HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, with working knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework such as React or Vue.js.
  • Solid understanding of the Veeva CRM data model, objects, and functionality, plus experience with API-based and RESTful integration development.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in a production CRM environment and excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with business and IT stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
  • Prior experience in pharma or life sciences commercial IT.
  • Familiarity with Veeva Align, Vault, or other Veeva Commercial Cloud modules.
  • Experience with charting and visualization libraries.
  • Some experience with cloud-based full-stack development.
  • Veeva certification or partner-program development experience.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $83,000 - $130,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
