Job description

DVS is actively seeking an Army Vantage SME to support our team onsite in Huntsville, AL. This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Army Vantage SME, advising leadership and staff on best practices for data visualization, metrics, and decision analytics
  • Design, develop, and maintain Army Vantage dashboards, scorecards, and analytic products
  • Translate Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs), KPIs, and business questions into measurable, data-driven solutions
  • Coordinate with functional owners (G-Staff, PEOs, Program Offices, Installations) to validate requirements and ensure data accuracy
  • Support data onboarding, governance, and data quality improvement efforts
  • Brief senior leaders (O-6, SES, GO/FO) using data-driven narratives and visuals
  • Mentor analysts and users on effective use of Army Vantage and associated BI tools
  • Collaborate with Army Vantage platform teams, data engineers, and cybersecurity personnel
  • Support ad hoc analytics, deep dives, and leadership-directed data calls

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting analytics or business intelligence initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience working with Palantir Foundry or Army Vantage (user, developer, or platform-focused role)
  • Proficiency in Python , PySpark and SQL
  • Experience developing dashboards or analytics products using modern BI tools
  • Skilled in preparing clear and comprehensive documentation
  • Strong understanding of Army business processes (e.g., readiness, logistics, finance, acquisition, personnel, or installations)
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical senior leaders
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Experience in user interface (UI) design, with the ability to create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards or applications
  • Active Secret security clearance

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
  • Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
