This position requires up to 25% travel.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or coach high-energy VE events from end to end: You'll facilitate the full 8-phase VE methodology inclusive of the job plan - function analysis and FAST diagrams through to detailed Value Improvement Proposals (VIPs) and implementation - bringing teams with you and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Build and scale the VE system: In partnership with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Product Operations, you'll create, standardize, and deploy tools, methods, and playbooks that make value engineering a durable capability-across programs and sites
  • Tie VE directly to launch success: You'll connect high-value concepts to APQP execution so the highest-impact changes land in production-prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Be the connective tissue: You'll develop trusted relationships with Product Engineering, Product Leadership, Sales, and Supply Chain to align value, feasibility, and speed
  • Coach, elevate, and multiply impact: You'll mentor teams in functional thinking, VE methods, and lean fundamentals, and you'll role-model daily management and continuous improvement
  • Operate on a proven lean backbone: You'll drive projects leveraging our FLIGHT DECK (lean) fundamentals, streamlining flow and eliminating waste to accelerate value realization

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of design engineering, product planning, or manufacturing experience.
  • Certified Value Specialist (CVS) certification by SAVE International.

Desired Characterisitcs:
  • 10+ years' experience in design engineering, product planning, or manufacturing
  • Aerospace experience
  • Familiarity with lean operating systems and experience driving results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Experience in engineering-driven, long-cycle development and manufacturing environments
  • Proven influencer and team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

The base pay range for this position is $167,000 - $222,000 if based in Evendale, OH and if based in Lynn, MA is $192,000 - $255,300. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 12, 2026.
