Job description

Valley Medical Group is seeking an experienced, fellowship-trained breast surgeon to join our NAPBC-accredited Breast Center. The Valley Health System holds longstanding accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and has a strong regional reputation for excellence in multidisciplinary cancer care.
The Valley Breast Center, directed by a Board Certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeon, offers advanced imaging, oncoplastic breast surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast-focused medical oncology, radiation oncology, clinical genetics, a high-risk program, survivorship services, and access to innovative clinical research. The Breast Surgery practice includes a nurse navigator and a team of physician assistants. The successful candidate will provide consultation and surgical care for patients with suspected or proven disease of the breast. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the Breast Surgeon will participate our weekly multidisciplinary case conference and take part in all breast cancer program initiatives.
The position includes serving as a faculty member in Valley's General Surgery Residency Program, offering robust opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and academic engagement. Academic appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai of Mount Sinai is available for appropriate candidates.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board eligible or certification in General Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Breast Surgery
  • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required
