Job description

Description
The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to support the department's commitment to excellence in teaching and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a twelve-month full-time basis for an annual term beginning January 7, 2027.
Full-time clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor range: $16,000 - $20,878 per month ($192,000 - $250,536 annually), Associate Professor range: $19,391 - $21,667 per month ($232,692 - $260,004 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice planmay provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other Compensation
Other compensation associated with this position may include a pay supplement (CCO) or incentive through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as a physician providing comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric medicine at the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic at UWMC-Northwest. They will also be expected to teach trainees on the science and techniques of advanced wound care.
Candidates will be considered across a range of interests in primary care.

Qualifications
Applicants for this full-time clinical faculty position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Applicants must have a medical (MD or DO) degree (or foreign equivalent) and board certification* in Internal Medicine (or foreign equivalent). Applicants must hold or be eligible for Washington State Medical License.
*Note: Board certification must be completed within two years after residency.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
