Our team has spent the past two decades providing environmental, utility vegetation management (UVM), software and sustainability services. We are fortunate to be a part of the Wright Service Corp. family, which has helped us establish a strong foundation for continued growth and success.
Through a strategic alignment of values and goals, four Wright Service Corp. entities joined and integrated into one, operating as Eocene Environmental Group. These four entities are:
  • Forestry & Utility Division
  • Environmental Division
  • Technology & Innovation Division
  • Sustainability Division

Job Summary: Project Manager III (Senior Project Manager) will manage the most important and complex projects, provide leadership and training to other project managers, assist with programmatic process and procedure development, provide senior leadership and expertise in their area of focus (e.g. planning, archaeology, biology), participate in hiring key staff, build project teams, and participate in business development (e.g. client visits, proposals, proposal interviews).
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage large, complex projects involving many stakeholders
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, and communication with the client on budget status
  • Schedule key tasks, track deliverables, communicate with the client on schedule regularly
  • Stay current on a variety of local, state and federal processes, procedures, and requirements including agency specific guidance
  • Proactively navigate and propose practicable resource avoidance, minimization, and mitigation compliance strategies
  • Synthesize and communicate permit stipulations and requirements
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings knowing time zone differences between staff locations and project locations may warrant early morning, noon-hour, or late evening meetings.
  • Draft engineering plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Assist in engineering planning, design, and construction of conservation practices
  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Eocene Environmental Group' s culture of safety and employee ownership
  • Serve as a role model for staff with respect to understanding and following all company policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of project management including at least 15 years of work experience and substantial involvement in at least two large projects
  • Experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge
  • Process driven with the ability to build efficient and effective procedures
  • Ability to conduct work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines
  • Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Experience successfully developing proposals including realistic schedules and budgets
  • Experience maintaining quality relationships with clients and agencies
  • Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activities
  • Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, FieldMaps, Survey123, and similar)

Supervisory Duties:
  • Staff and manage large project teams
  • Leadership thru positive engagement and management of an interdisciplinary team of employees
  • Mentor junior level project managers and staff within manager's area of expertise

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:
  • B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline
