Pure Cycle Corporation (PCYO) is a diversified water utility service provider and land development company located in the Denver Metropolitan Area. The company is known for its innovative and vertically integrated water and wastewater utility services, owning a valuable portfolio of water rights in a water short region. Pure Cycle Corporation also develops master planned communities along the I-70 corridor, creating value and opportunities for various stakeholders.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at Pure Cycle Corporation. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including the analysis of balance sheet accounts and maintaining account reconciliations. This role will also involve ensuring compliance with accounting principles and supporting auditing processes. This candidate should be comfortable with the general ledger close process. The candidate should be comfortable reporting for a wide array of entities and projects including job costing.
Please highlight any governmental accounting experience as that would be a plus.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in financial accounting, general ledgers, and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Experience with financial reporting and preparing financial statements
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure
  • Ensure financial policies and procedures are adequate and documentation is current
  • Participate in month end close process and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Support Accounting Manager and Controller in all financial matters of the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 year of General Ledger and monthly close experience
  • Governmental Accounting Experience is a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on previous experience.
Eligible for discretionary bonus.
Work Location:
This is an onsite role to be located in Watkins, CO.
