USAF Research Analyst
Research/Data Analyst Sr
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
Dayton, Ohio

HX5 is currently seeking USAF Research Analyst to support the Mobility Aircraft Program Office at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collect data from various USAF operating systems, identify positive and negative trends and report detailed information using graphs, charts, and spreadsheets as required.
  • Examine and validate the accuracy of the USAF maintenance data to include Program Depot Maintenance Scheduling System (PDMSS), and Logistics Evaluation Assurance Program (LEAP) to ensure that it produces meaningful information.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with USAF organizations to improve the accuracy of data inputs to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Utilize scientific inquiry in the independent development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict aircraft parameter performance using tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Simio, Python, and VBA.
  • Must have knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems.

Education and Experience:
Must have the following combination of education and experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific discipline.
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
