Senior Tactical Systems Analyst (Hardware Training)
Virginia Beach, VA

Position Summary
We are immediately seeking an FA-18E/F Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and support our Hardware training team in Virginia Beach, VA.
The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class training, products, and support directly to fleet aviators. As part of ACES, the Hardware team provides world-class training and sustained support on combat systems and crypto to warfighters so that they can be successful in combat. The Hardware training program is dynamic and challenging, meeting the fleet's needs for Subject Matter Expertise in Tactical Data Links (Link-16/TTNT), Radios (SATCOM/SATURN/DACAS), IFF, EW Systems, Global Lightning/JTT, LITENING, IRST and SKL/Crypto dependencies associated with these systems.
Responsibilities
  • Research, process, and distill complex technical material for meaningful and engaging presentation to fleet Naval Aviators and Maintenance professionals
  • Conduct professional, in-person training to large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels
  • Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of eight years' experience with FA-18E/F combat systems. Experience as FA-18E/F aircrew (pilot or WSO) preferred, however maintenance personnel with MTS and FA-18 TMS experience will be considered
  • Familiarity and expertise with FA-18E/F mission planning and training systems
  • Citizenship with a current and active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility
  • SAP program eligibility advantageous
  • Valid state driver license
  • Travel (20%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.

Desired Experience/Skills
  • Extensive operational Strike Fighter experience and graduate-level credentials in Strike Fighter employment, instruction, and/or flight test
  • Experience with various FA-18E/F operational squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to conduct professional, in-person training to large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels
  • Ability to self-motivate, comfort taking the initiative to identify then solve problems without specific direction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects

Work Authorization
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
  • Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required
