Job description

Job Responsibilities:


Assist Plant Engineer/Director and President in all aspects of machine/facility maintenance and repair. Mature and experienced capability to Order and stock parts for both PM and repairs. Execution of all PM as required and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics and flow charts for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical diagnostics, installation and repairs.
Familiarity with Flexographic slitting and laminating machinery a plus. Capability to run and organize basic machine shop. Ability to repair and fabricate some parts as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Mid to High level machine tool & preventative maintenance experience required
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Understands basics of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
Demonstrated ability to analyze and perform basic electronically, and mid to high level mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
A team player that is a highly disciplined, problem-solver with a strong work ethic

Familiarity with Flexographic slitting and laminating machinery a plus.

Minimum: Associates Degree or equivalent Trade School training.

Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs and access locations from sub-floor to rooftop, crawl space to catwalk.

Hours: minimum 40 per week. Facility open 2 shifts however most work M-F 8-4

Package to be negotiated with experience level.

Small, concise, located in a mixed industrial/residential area of NYC, the business is close to subway and freeways. Company is committed to sustainability in environment as well as keeping jobs in the USA. Labor workforce is Union and several employees 30 years employment. Willing to work with local independent contractors who have their own LLC.
