Project Type: Federal Fish Ladder Project
Openings: 4 total
Compensation: Prevailing Wage + Fringe + Per Diem
Housing: Shared housing provided in Walla Walla
Job Summary
We are hiring for a 4-person concrete crew for a federal fish ladder project in Walla Walla, WA. We are seeking experienced individuals to support concrete construction activities on a federal fish ladder project in Walla Walla, WA. Work may include form setup, concrete placement support, finishing support, cleanup, material handling, and other general concrete construction duties depending on experience. Some areas of expertise may include:
  • Formwork Carpenters
  • Concrete Laborers
  • Concrete Finishers / Cement Masons

This project involves structural concrete work in an active heavy civil construction environment. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and around excavation, rebar, concrete placement, and heavy equipment.
Prevailing Wage Rates:
  • Carpenter: $59.92/hour base wage + $15.04/hour fringe benefit
  • Cement Mason / Finisher: $38.05/hour base wage + $16.89/hour fringe benefit
  • Laborer: $37.83/hour base wage + $0.00/hour fringe benefit
Additional Compensation
  • $50 per minimum 8-hour working day per diem
  • Maximum $350 per week per diem
  • Company furnished shared housing provided in Walla Walla with the team
  • Health and Wellness benefits for employee and dependents
General Responsibilities
Depending on classification, duties may include:
  • Building, setting, bracing, and stripping concrete forms
  • Assisting with concrete placement and site prep
  • Raking, shoveling, vibrating, and moving concrete materials
  • Screeding, floating, edging, and finishing concrete surfaces
  • Assisting with cleanup and maintaining a safe jobsite
  • Working around rebar, excavation, and heavy equipment
  • Following all company safety rules and federal project requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Formwork Carpenter or Concrete Carpenter
  • Experience building, setting, and stripping concrete forms
  • Experience assisting with concrete placement, cleanup, grading, or material handling preferred
  • Experience with screeding, floating, edging, and finishing concrete necessary
Required:
  • Must be willing to work in Walla Walla, WA
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • THC is included in the drug testing panel due to federal project requirements
  • Must be able to meet all federal project site access requirements
Preferred Experience
  • Heavy civil, public works, bridge, water, dam, fish passage, or infrastructure work
  • Experience working safely around concrete crews and active construction equipment
