The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. The new hire will join theSpace Planning, Readiness, and Operations (SPRO) Departmentteamto provide operationally focused space solutionsfor warfighter and end users in supportof our Department ofWar(DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), and civil customers.Weserve as the EED and ETG entry point for wargaming and exercises, space operations planning,andoperationally relevantsupport to connectcorporate technical capabilities and operational requirements, integrate capabilities across the space enterprise, and educate the workforce on space operations and warfighting.Do you want to have a positive impact on the present and future space enterprise? WhatYou'llBe Doing

• Leveraging your operational and/or warfighting experience to provide planning and course of action (COA) developmentexpertisein accordance withJoint Warfighting Concept, Adaptive Planning, and Joint Targeting processes.

• Supporting customers across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

• Identifyinglimitations/issues with current architectures, systems, and integration processes.

• Building roadmaps for short-term and long-term operations and processes to feed into future acquisition strategies.

• Advising customers on operationally focused technical and analytical approaches, systems engineering, and development of systems and capabilities.

• Designingand advocatingfor optimizedspace control (e.g., orbital warfare and electronic warfare) and command and control (C2)constructs and data processes for US Space Command and US Space Force capabilities.

• Serving as a space control, space operations, and/or C2 subject matter expert on multi-disciplinary teams.

• Workingacross space mission and program boundaries toidentifycommon program challenges and risks, provide enterprise recommendations, and lead issues to closure.

• Solving the customers' hardest problems in the development, fielding, planning, integration, and operational employment of new space capabilities.

• Workingclosely and effectively withinternal andexternal partners in integrated product teams that include government, industry, FFRDC members, and collaboration across Aerospace.

• Communicatingeffectively with customers and management throughtimelyreporting of technical issues, analysis reports, and recommendations.

What You Need to be Successful

MinimumRequirements for theEngineering Specialist

• Bachelor'sdegree from a recognizedinstitution ina relevant discipline.

• 8or moreyears of increasing responsibilityand related career experience to include background as a space operator and/or planner.

• Experience in space-relevantspace control,command and control, operational planning, or battle management.

• Familiarity with acquisition strategies and/or processes.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience working with government customers like US Space Command, US Space Force, and/or the NRO.

• Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer siteapprox.if required.

• Active Top Secret security clearance; eligible for SCI and SAP/SAR.

In addition to the above, theminimumrequirements for theSenior Engineering Specialistinclude:

• 12or moreyears ofrelevant career experience.

• Demonstrated blend of operational, technical, and leadership experience.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• Advanceddegree from a recognized institution ina relative discipline.

• Weapons School graduate.

• Joint Planning experience with a Combatant Command J3/5 or Joint Staff J3/5.

• Experience in anadditionaldomain besides space (e.g., ground, maritime, air).

• Experience with differentspace operations mission areas/functions such aselectronic warfare (EW); orbital warfare (OW);missile warning missile tracking (MW/MT);space domain awareness (SDA); intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); command and control (C2); satellite communications (SATCOM) or space data transport;or,position, navigation, and timing (PNT).

• Experience on an acquisition program.

• Experience in operational and tactical level processes.

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access and/or SAP/SAR access.
