Forklift Operator 2nd Shift - Press Department

Fort Worth, Texas, United States, Franklin, Tennessee, United States, West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States

Primary Role

Keep the press running by safely delivering the RIGHT material at the RIGHT time.

Core Responsibilities – Material Flow
  • Deliver coils, sheets, and blanks to correct press
  • Remove finished goods & scrap bins
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out)
  • Prevent line stoppages
Core Responsibilities – Coil Handling
  • Move coils safely (use proper attachments)
  • Verify: Coil ID, Heat number, Thickness / Grade
  • Check for damage (dents, rust, broken bands)
Material Accuracy

RIGHT material → RIGHT press NO mix-ups (grade, thickness, finish) Double-check labels before staging

Inventory Control

Scan or track materials Keep staging & storage areas organized Report shortages or mismatches immediately

Safety First – Zero Exceptions

Perform daily forklift inspection Drive controlled in high-traffic areas Keep loads low, stable, and secure Sound horn at intersections Coils are extremely heavy – use proper attachments Wear PPE: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves

No damaged material during transport No mixed materials at press Report defects immediately
