Job Description
The LIFT Lead at ESC-2 oversees campus and district coaches to deliver capacity-building experiences across the region. They are responsible for establishing LEA partnerships, marketing services, and using data to develop a strategic vision for school improvement. With strong content and program expertise, the LIFT Lead supports LEAs through training, coaching, and implementation over a three-year period. Their work centers on advancing instructional leadership, with a focus on High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) implementation.
Education Qualifications:
  1. Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university (required).
  2. Texas Teacher Certification (required).
  3. A master's degree in education leadership (required).
  4. High-quality instructional materials implementation experience (preferred).

Experience:
  1. At least seven years (combined) experience as a principal, principal manager, TIL Lead, Strong Foundations Lead, senior experience consulting and/or capacity building in districts preferred.
  2. Prior experience implementing HQIM and supporting district and campus leaders to implement HQIM preferred.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. The LIFT Lead is responsible for managing a team of district coaches who deliver the upfront training, implementation support, and coaching for district leaders, especially principal managers, on implementing instructional leadership systems with a focus on HQIM implementation. In addition, they are responsible for supporting district coaches to manage teams of campus coaches to deliver up front training, implementation support, and coaching to principals, campus leadership teams, and teachers aligned to implementing High Quality Instructional Materials, namely Bluebonnet Learning.
  2. Implementation check-ins with district coaches weekly, with coaching sessions happening as needed, at least monthly.
  3. Visit districts receiving program support at least monthly to calibrate on implementation and support district and campus coach teams.
  4. Planning and facilitating internal meetings including district and campus coaches to ensure team alignment and ongoing professional development.
  5. Plan for staffing needs and lead on the posting and hiring of staff.
  6. Ensure all district and campus coaches have successfully completed all needed certifications and training of trainers (ToTs).
  7. The LIFT Lead manages the recruitment experience for prospective LEAs, including laying out expectations for program engagement, establishing which leaders will receive support at the district and campus levels, and the onboarding of leaders to understand requirements of the program. Included in recruitment and onboarding would be leading Bluebonnet Learning and program informational sessions and/or promotional sessions with prospective districts. When needed, step in directly to support with district leaders and district coaches to work through challenges or concerns brought up by district or campus leaders.
  8. The LIFT Lead manages the collection and analysis of data and metrics aligned to program success. This data is shared with TEA and includes but is not limited to student outcome data, fidelity of implementation data for classroom HQIM implementation, fidelity of implementation data at the district and campus leadership systems level, action step coaching cycles at every level of the program delivery chain, and program scale relative to total market across the region.
  9. LIFT Leads actively participate in "LIFT University," TEA focus groups, and consistent coaching connections with LIFT Lead Coach. Through these engagements with their LIFT Lead Coach and other TEA staff members, develop and support the development of others in the areas of HQIM product knowledge, content knowledge, and instructional leadership systems. In addition, LIFT Leads contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement through attendance and participation at all required program professional development experiences. As a manager and a lead learner, join the scope of district and campus coach trainings at least once to build program knowledge to enable informed support for program implementation.
  10. Together with other ESC program leaders and/or senior leaders, support the alignment within the service center to provide LEAs coherent and aligned support, including diagnostics, advising, and capacity building. As the LIFT lead, serve as the TEA point of contact for supporting the program at your ESC and relaying important information to colleagues and senior leaders. Support your ESC with any split or matrix management configurations to ensure staff development and performance management.
