Position Summary

Unity Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our Primary Care team in Washington, DC. This full-time outpatient position provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages within a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment.

The Physician will deliver evidence-based medical care focused on prevention, chronic disease management, patient education, and whole-person care while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and access to quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients of all ages
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform preventive health screenings, wellness visits, and patient education
  • Coordinate patient care with specialists, behavioral health providers, and support services
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated, patient-centered care
  • Promote culturally competent and compassionate healthcare delivery
  • Support organizational goals focused on patient satisfaction, access, and quality outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school required
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • Current or eligible medical license in the District of Columbia required
  • Current DEA registration required
  • Strong commitment to serving medically underserved and diverse patient populations
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Experience in community health, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), or ambulatory care settings preferred
