We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Unity Point Wellness & Counseling. This full-time position allows for remote work while focusing on the specific needs of clients within our Detox Center. The LCSW will provide individualized support and treatment for clients experiencing serious mental health challenges, ensuring that all individuals receive the highest quality of care.

This role will be primarily remote, allowing you to provide essential services to clients in the comfort of their own environments. The detox center setting emphasizes a cultural context where mental health and substance abuse recovery are interlinked, and staff are equipped to navigate both. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive and enriching atmosphere that fosters healing.

• Provide direct clinical services to clients struggling with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, including assessment and therapy.
• Establish trusting relationships with clients through effective communication and support, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement integrated care plans, facilitating access to necessary linked services.
• Conduct brief evidence-based assessments and arrange for comprehensive evaluations when necessary.
• Monitor client progress through regular meetings, adjusting treatment plans based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case management discussions to enhance collaborative practices within the team.
• Assist in crisis intervention when required, ensuring clients receive immediate and localized support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports.
• Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and the code of conduct established by Unity Point Wellness & Counseling.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.

The LCSW will work with a diverse client base within the detox center, primarily serving individuals facing challenges with addiction and mental health disorders. Many clients may come from marginalized backgrounds, highlighting the importance of providing culturally competent and compassionate care. The ability to connect with clients who may be experiencing complex trauma and related behavioral health issues is essential.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in social work, preferably in a mental health or addiction recovery setting.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution.
• Strong understanding of individual, group, and family therapy modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will have experience working within community health settings or detox environments, with a specific focus on trauma-informed care and substance use treatment methodologies. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based practices in mental health is also advantageous.

The salary range for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
