ProMach's Brenton division is seeking a talented Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the close process to ensure we have accurate and timely financials to support our internal Brenton partners and ProMach consolidated financials. It is a key role to support business growth objectives for Brenton by partnering with key leaders on system improvements, leveraging AI tools and problem solving to understand and implement improvements based on financial data findings and outcomes. Candidates must possess exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, problem solving abilities, and build strong relationships with key leadership team members. This position reports to the Controller.
Brenton, based in Alexandria, MN, is a leading manufacturer of case packers, palletizers, shrink-wrapping machines and complete End of Line packaging systems for the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods markets. Brenton is a division of Pro Mach, a leading provider of integrated packaging and processing solutions for over 20,000 customers worldwide.   • Lead month-end and system roll forward processes
  • Analyze, prepare and review month-end Journal Entries along with being a key contributor driver and leader in determining ways to streamline the month-end timeline with current and future AI and reporting tools
  • Take ownership of account reconciliation process to ensure alignment to subledger support
  • Partner with the ProMach Shared Service teams on review of accounting processes and standardization of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Develop and lead a consistent balance sheet review process
  • Complete income statement reviews throughout the month-end process
  • Lead audit requests & compliance reporting
  • Complete and ensure revenue recognition reviews are compliant by partnering with Controller, Project Managers, Sales team and GM on the calculation, recording strealining of project percentage of completion (POC) and nested POC with sister companies for bothinternal and external reporting
  • Be the division's point of contact for intercompany transactions
  • Owner of properly recording lease, inventory and fixed asset transactions and balances
  • Support fellow employees and business partners with questions and concerns regarding financial information and system transactions, including Concur invoicing and travel
  • Problem solve the root cause and offer recommendations for system improvements by partnering with IT, Brenton operations partners and ProMach corporate finance and accounting teams
  • Partner and lead key projects with internal partners, IT and ProMach partners including developing a streamline process to capture the billing, revenue and cost for Service trips, cycle count improvements with Materials team and standardization for warranty and after shipment cost processes
  • Review General Ledger detail for any potential trending concerns and errors; follow-up with business partners and perform necessary corrections
  • Partner with ProMach on month-end improvement and standardization
  • Lead the review of warranty and after shipment, including developing a process to streamline how data is gathered, reviewed and processed
  • Be involved and champion Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives for Brenton and across all of ProMach, which includes working closing with the ProMach reporting and compliance leaders, 3rd party consultants, internal Brenton partners and sister companies
  • Support the Brenton Finance team, Brenton Leadership team, General Manager, VP of Finance, and Business Unit President
  • Learn and leverage new reporting tools, such as AI tools, Spotlight and Tableau
  • Adhoc responsibilities across not only Brenton but also ProMach and other sister companies

Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000
