Materials Specialist Essential Job Duties:

  • Stocks supplies in the Storeroom and PAR closets using FIFO method.
  • Transports supplies and equipment following safety protocols.
  • Checks expiration of supplies routinely.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the supplies, supply bins, Storeroom, and PAR closets.
  • Assists with equipment finding, moving, cleaning, as needed.
  • Reports issues with supply availability to the shift lead or manager.
  • Conducts physical inventory on a routine basis.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.  
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Education, Training & Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Function grasp of standard written and verbal English.
  • Accomplished at basic business math.
  • Basic computer and computer keyboard experience.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the department.
  • Experience in inventory methods preferred.
