Job description

What we are looking for:

Join Aldridge's team and be a part of Building and Strengthening America's Infrastructure. As a non-working supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Civil Construction elements of Aldridge projects including, but not limited to, craft planning, scheduling, quality assurance and safety. Join us in shaping the future of our West Coast operations. The role is primarily a California position, however traveling and interacting with multiple project teams across various locations throughout the U.S. should be expected.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with owners, customers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that projects meet all necessary requirements.
  • Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of civil construction operations across all West Coast Transportation projects as well as the activities of field resources.
  • Develop and execute project schedules and budgets while ensuring that the projects meet all safety and quality standards in coordination with Aldridge Construction Services Group and Project Management teams.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop civil craft leaders to support the growth of the West Coast Transportation division.
  • Develop self-perform competency in civil construction elements including, but not limited to, drilled concrete foundations, cast in place concrete foundations, concrete flatwork, and deep excavations (including engineered shoring systems).
  • Evaluate future project opportunities and advise on production and cost estimates during pursuits.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working as supervision for heavy civil transportation projects
  • Experience managing heavy civil transportation related projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Procore is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of civil construction tooling and heavy equipment
  • Union member in good standing

What we offer: 

Subject to local Union pay rates per the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a company vehicle and bonus. This is a union position and provides union benefits.
