Job Summary:
UDT is a national technology solutions provider that modernizes and manages technology environments for various sectors. The Wireless Network Specialist is responsible for the installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of wireless networking solutions, ensuring reliable connectivity and secure access across customer environments.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Configure, deploy, and maintain wireless access points, SSIDs, and related network equipment.
โ€ข Perform day-to-day administration of wireless networks using Cisco Meraki and other cloud-managed networking platforms.
โ€ข Monitor wireless network performance and identify connectivity, coverage, or capacity concerns.
โ€ข Troubleshoot wireless client connectivity issues involving laptops, mobile devices, printers, IoT devices, and other wireless endpoints.
โ€ข Escalate complex wireless issues to senior engineering resources when necessary.
โ€ข Assist with wireless network deployments, equipment installations, and site rollouts.
โ€ข Support access point replacements, firmware upgrades, and configuration changes.
โ€ข Participate in wireless expansion projects and office relocations.
โ€ข Assist with basic wireless coverage validation and signal testing activities.
โ€ข Maintain accurate documentation of wireless configurations, inventory, and network diagrams.
โ€ข Support incident, request, problem, and change management processes.
โ€ข Provide technical support during planned maintenance windows and service upgrades.

โ€ข Familiarity with enterprise wireless standards and technologies including 802.11ac and 802.11ax.
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
โ€ข Ability to diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity and performance issues.
โ€ข Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
โ€ข Strong organizational and time-management skills.
โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills.
