Job description

Press Brake / Turret Operator

Pay: $26-$32

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake / Turret Operator to join our Metal Shop team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake and turret press equipment, while also supporting general fabrication and secondary operations. The ideal candidate will have strong sheet metal fabrication experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate press brake and turret press equipment.
  • Load tooling, materials, and machine programs for production runs.
  • Inspect parts and adjust machine settings to maintain quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, cutting, and band saw operation.
  • Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues to leadership.
  • Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Train and assist less experienced team members as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up, programming, and operating turret press and press brake equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using fabrication tools, gauges, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a related field.
