2nd Shift Forklift/Turret Operator

OH Middlefield - Middlefield, OH 44062

Overview

Salary Range $19.94 - $22.06 Hourly Level Experienced

Description

Job Purpose

Ensures complete and accurate processing of all incoming shipments, pick tickets and outbound customer loads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving:
    • Unloads inbound shuttles from the plants
    • Puts product away in an organized manner
    • Tracks bin locations of new product
    • Consolidates product when applicable to create additional storage space
  • Picking:
    • Picks customer orders according to pick ticket specifications
    • Ensures product and packaging is in good condition
    • Stages product in stop order in designated staging lane, consolidates product when applicable
  • Loading:
    • Loads product from staging area onto specified truck trailer
    • Ensures product is in excellent shipping condition and in the proper stop order
    • Completes audit sheets when applicable
    • Works with site Customer Service Reps to verify additional product that might be available
    • Completes all necessary BOL and internal paperwork
  • Inventory:
    • Completes spot checks and inventory counts based upon assignments provided by the Inventory Analyst
    • Investigates discrepancies in product, quantity, or labeling
    • Daily auditing of skus and quantities
    • Maintains corrugate variety and supply
  • Projects: Works independently or on a team to complete special projects for the site
  • All tasks: Maintains quality service by following Growscape's company-wide standards; maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping bin locations, pallet area, and workstations neat and free of debris and trash; maintain clean shipping supply area; complies with company procedures, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities may be amended as needed.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months' continuous experience on stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers or turret/swing reach forklifts
  • Minimum of 12 months' cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
  • Experience in RF Scan Guns and Warehouse Management Computer Software

Skills

  • The ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Organizational, planning, documentation, reporting and time management skills
  • Excellent attendance

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to lift 50 lbs, and to stand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shift
  • Tolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)
