Turret Truck Operator
Turret/Swing Reach operators are responsible for pick/pull and movement of full pallets; automotive glass such as windshields. When not on the Turret, will utilize a sit-down forklift, and other job duties as assigned.
Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:15pm - 11:15pm

Qualifications Required:
  • 2- years RECENT Turret Truck experience
  • 1-year Sit-Down Forklift experience
  • Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis
  • Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Utilizing basic hand tools
  • Good attendance will be REQUIRED!
  • Able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Completes other duties as necessary
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
  • Must have attention to detail

Qualifications Desired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years prior Materials Handling Equipment Experience (forklift and turret truck)
  • Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality and operational procedures
  • Basic personal computer skills

Essential Functions:
  • Stock workstation and assembly line (glass, molding and components)
  • Stock banding area (banding, corners, fronts, tops, crates, separators, dunnage)
  • Monitor cones to remove finished crates, replenish row glass and replenish empty crates, racks
  • Follow the build schedule as laid out by the planner
  • Ensure the workstation and assembly line are running efficiently
  • Split-con glass while ensuring not to use HUS on the ROCA sheet
  • Scan all crates into their locations as they are moved
  • Empty dumpsters, ROCA racks, recyclable cardboards totes
  • Put away all finished glass and components that have been used (built)
  • Use RDT to complete system move of HU's (crates) from uncrating to open pick locations
  • Replenishment - Operate forklift, move crates from bulk location to uncrating to be hung
  • Receiving - operate forklift, unload crates from containers/trucks, put crates away in bulk locations
  • Full case picking - operate turret truck/swing reach

Hourly Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 based on experience (Pay increases $2.50 per hour for the entire shift, if operating the Turret for up to 1 hour of the shift time)!
